5. Volunteer

If you opted to move to a small town in the United States, you’ll likely have some extra free time on your hands since there will be fewer entertainment options than in a big city.

But don’t use this as an excuse to sit at home. Opportunities to volunteer are all around you.

Volunteering gives you the chance to meet new people and learn about what causes American’s are interested in. Finding a cause you enjoy as well, gives you the chance to feel connected to this new culture.
